Believe

Today I want to share with you a shaped shaker card. I used lovely Mermaid Kisses Stamp Set #529 to make it.
Mermaid is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the white cardstock. She is colored with Promarkers. I added some Sakura Glue Pen to her body and sprinkled Sunny Daze glitter on top.Waterfall glitter was added to the water with Sakura Glue Pen also.

Background in inside of the shaker is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and images are colored with Promarkers. Then I applied 2 ½" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape all over the background and rubbed Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter on to the tape.
I added some embossing powder splatters on top of the Embossable Clear Acetate. There is a tutorial hot to make them in here.

Little stars inside of the shaker are left overs from the star circle frame. I colored stars with markers, applied Brushable Glue to one side of the stars and covered pink stars with Bubble Gum glitter and yellow stars with Evening Glow glitter.
I used Fun Foam to make a frame for shaker pieces. It's much easier then to use foam tape.

Frame is covered with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hit The Beach embossing powder. The inner circle of the frame is covered with Versamarker Pen and heat embossed with Skylight embossing powder.

Full directions of how to make this card is in the SNS Gallery here.

Matchbox, card and envelope

Hello, Summer! Calender says it's summer but I can't see it by looking outside. It's rainy and cold and we had snow on Tuesday. There is something seriously wrong with Weatherman. Oh well... I'll better show you a simple rainy day project.

The box is made with 6 x 6 " pattern paper and Envelope Punch board. It's really fun and easy box. I followed the tutorial from here. For decorations I used leftovers from previous project.

Rectangle piece of pattern paper was covered with 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape. After removing the protective sheet I placed a leftover protective sheet sprig shape die cut on top to act as a mask. Tape was covered with Crystal Ice Glitter. Then I removed the sprig and covered rest of the tape with Sea Spray Glitter. Edges of the pattern paper was covered with SNS Dimensional Glue and I sprinkled Sea Spray Glitter on top.

For the card I placed some Tear-ific Tape directly to the card base and adhered a leftover die-cut piece of paper covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" on top. Sticky part was covered with  with Sea Spray Glitter. Then I removed protective sheet around the sprig cut-out and covered it with Crystal Ice Glitter.

I also made an envelope for a card. Just because I wanted to play with an Envelope Punch Board :)It is decorated with 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape, Crystal Ice Glitter, SNS Dimensional Glue and Sea Spray Glitter

Suitcase

Hello my friends! Today I'll share with you a 3D project. I made a cardstock suitcase to hold six small SNS glitter and/or embossing powder jars. I'm pleased how it turned out. I kept this suitcase on my desk almost three  weeks before I was willing to send it away.

Crackle Background Stamp, Copper Flame and Caramel embossing powders are wonderful to mimic a look of a vintage suitcase.

To achieve different look with same stamp and embossing powders you just have to change the order of using the embossing powders. In front of the suitcase I stamped the Crackle Background with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Caramel EP. Then I sprinkled some Copper Flame EP on top and heat embossed from underneath the cardstock. For the back side of the suitcase I first added Copper Flame EP and heat embossed it, then I stamped the Crackle Background with Versamark ink and heat embossed with  Caramel EP. Caramel EP has lovely shimmer in it. Copper Flame EP will pick it up also and it changes it's color slightly.

For the glittered leaves I adhered strip of 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the green cardstock and cut with die from  Spellbinder Sprigs set two leaves. After removing the protective sheet from the leaves I covered the sticky part with Luau Green Microfine Glitter.

Blue "leather" straps are cut from white cardstock. After piercing the holes to the both edges I covered straps with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Skylight EP. I also added EP to one end of the other side of the strap.

http://sparklensprinkle.com/o/product_info.php?products_id=1121

I used two 5 x 0,5 cm strips to make a rectangles to hold the box closed. These strips are heat embossed with Caramel EP.
Suitcase handles are cut with dies from Spellbinder Label Four set. They are inked with Versamark ink from both sides and heat embossed with Copper Flame EP. I also added second coat of EP to give the handles more dimension.

There is no old and well traveled suitcase without stickers. I made some with stamps Travel Mixed Media Stamp Set. I used the Memento Rich Cocoa ink to stamp all the images from the set to the white cardstock. The map was inked slightly with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and Memento Pear Tart. From the map I cut three ovals with smallest die from Spellbinder Floral Ovals set.  Postal stamps are inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink and cut out with scissors.

All brads are covered with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Caramel EP. Brads are attached to the box before assembling the boxes. It would be much easier to attach brads only to the straps but I wanted to be sure that the suitcase is sturdy and won't fall apart.

After adhering the "Stickers" I added the Glossy Accents to the oval shapes. This way they look like a real stickers.

There are hidden magnets adhered to the boxes before assembling them. Take a look to the template to see where they are.

I used second smallest die from Spellbinders Label Four set to make the hinges out of brown cadrstack to the inside of the suitcase.

Boxes are made from 2 sheets of A4 cardstocks. With them I was able to make a box that fits 6 SNS embossing or glitter jars if you place 3 of them up-side down.

Flowers are cut with Spellbinder Bloom Four dies out of white cardstock. I inked them with  - Dusty Concord Distress Ink and Memento - Summer Sky. After shaping them with round stylus and and assembling I added a white pearl to the center of each flower.

You can see the full instructions how I made this suitcase in the SNS Gallery here. Also take a look to the template  to understand better how this suitcase is made.

Steff Munnings

I used Journal Mixed Media Stamp Set #606 to make my card. It's really fun to use it on all kind of projects.

I stamped the background with Versamark ink to the tag shape watercolor paper. If you want an uneven stamped image don't mount it to the acrylic block. Versamark ink was covered with White Detail EP and heated with a heat tool. Then I applied Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress inks to the plastic sheet, spritzed with water and smudged embossed tag in the ink.

The rose is cut with dies from Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I stamped each die cut with journal text from the stamp set with Broken China Distress ink. After shaping and assembling the rose I added some more Broken China ink to it.

I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the white cardstock and used Marianne Design Leaves die to cut the leaves out. After removing the protective sheet I applied  Deep Royal Tinsel to the tape. I learned from super talented Donna to fill the caps between the Tinsel with finer glitter. It looks really nice and adds much more interest. Same method was used for the matting layer.

I used Dry Embossed Flocking Technique by Shona to make the background layer. But instead of embossing folder I used a Dreamweaver metal stencil. I covered white cardstock with Super Adhesive Sheet. After removing the protective sheet I covered adhesive with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft. I inked the stencil with Memento Summer Sky Ink, placed Twinkling Clouds sheet on top and run it through the Cuttlebug with embossing mat.

Same method was used for rose leaves. I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the white cardstock. Tape was covered with Sparkling Sea Sparkle N Soft. I inked the stencil with Memento Pear Tart ink and embossed the print to it. With a die from Spellbinder Foliage set I cut two leaves. Edges of leaves was inked with Peeled Paint Distress ink.

Here is one more view of this lovely blue rose.
