A Friend Like You

Messy, fun and simple are the words to describe this card. I enjoyed playing with Sparkle N Sprinkle Corner Garden stamp set. To make this card, it's necessary to have any kind of stamp platform.
For the background I took a watercolor cardstock, cut to the size of the card base. Paper was placed inside of the stamp platform, flower stamp was adhered in place. After inking the stamp with Vintage Photo Distress Inks I spritzed it with water and stamped the image to the paper. Then I turned paper 180 degree and repeated the process. I spritzed entire paper with water and let the ink spread around. It was still possible to see pale marks of the image so I took Mowed Lawn and Fossilized Amber DI-s and added them to the image with watercolor brush. After everything was painted and paper was try I placed it back to the stamp platform and stamped the flowers on top of previously stamped images with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Then I cut this panel smaller with scissors.

While flower stamp was still in same place on the Stamp Platform, I inked it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the image to the white cardstock. Rotated the cardstock 180 degree and stamped same image again. Images are colored with Promarkers. In center of the images I stamped the sentiment from same Corner Garden set with Versamark ink. I heat embossed it with my favorite brown embossing powder - Coffee. Sentiment is cut out with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die.
For the matting layer I covered piece of cardstock with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. I adhered the sentiment layer on top and fussy cut it with scissors. Rest of the tape was covered with Aztec Gold and Bronze Splendor glitters.

Butterfly is also from the same Corner Garden set. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. For coloring I used Promarkers and Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. To get the sheen entire butterfly I diluted the Mousse with water. Butterfly body is covered with Chocolate Fondue Nuvo Glitter DropsChocolate Fondue Nuvo Glitter Drops are also added in center of each flower.

1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape was adhered to the matting layer of the watercolor background. Tape was covered with Aztec Gold and Bronze Splendor glitters.
To add some more messiness to my card I diluted Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse with water and made tiny splatters all over the card.

Corner Garden

Hello my friends! I hope you have wonderful Easter! Today I want to share a flower card made with digital papers, digi images and stamped sentiment.
Sparkle N Sprinkle Corner Garden Digi Bundle comes with beautiful vibrant digi papers. Sadly you don't see those vibrant colors on my card. I bought a new printer and we had a rough start... But I think those papers are lovely anyway.

In my computer I placed flower corner image directly to the orange/pink pattern paper and printed it out. This image is in .png format, so it has clear background with black and white image. Leaves are colored with Promarkers.

To make colorful flowers and butterflies I placed images on top of the pattern papers again but this time I erased the white color. This way color of the paper showed through. But if you don't have a suitable program to do it, or you just don't want to mess with it, there is an easier way: First print out the pattern papers, then place same paper back to the printer and then print images on top. Flowers are fussy cut against the lines but for the butterflies I left a narrow white border all around.
Centers of the flowers, butterflies bodies and swirls are covered with Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops. I also added Lavender Iris with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the flowers and butterflies.

Sentiment is from Corner Garden rubber stamp set. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Amethyst Spray Embossing Powder.
I placed a white frame around the sentiment. With Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen I added a Black Suede Microfine Glitter to the inner part of the frame.

Edges of the background paper are also covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Black Suede Microfine Glitter. I placed some dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops (Rose WaterOrange Marmalade) all around the card.

Peace and Happiness

How about more Christmas cards? It's good idea to start with it early to avoid rush in December. I used Sparkle N Sprinkle rubber stamp set Christmas Holly Blessings on my golden card.

Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. The vase was 'colored' with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and covered with Midnight Gold Glitter. Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

I wanted to add a bit more dimension to the image. So I covered berries with Strawberry Coulis Nuvo Jewel Drops and glittered vase with Limonello Jewel Drops

Now, to my favorite part of the card - the background. For the card base I used Tonic Trellis Circles die to cut two scalloped circles. One of them is scored 1 cm from the edge and adhered to second die cut shape.
I used another die from same Tonic set to cut trellis pattern in to the white cardstock. It is cut to the circle shape with scissors. I used Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse to color it. I adheres this layer to the cardstock which was previously covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. After cutting of the excess paper I covered holes between the trellis with Midnight Gold Glitter.

Golden center panel is cut with scissors. it is also colored with Indian Gold Mousse. I used an embossing folder with brick pattern to dry emboss it. Raised parts are slightly covered with Mother of Pearl Mousse. Edge of the circle and the sentiment layer are covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Midnight Gold Glitter.

Is it too early for Christmas card? Maybe... But probably not. Considering the fact that Father Weather made an early April's Fools Day joke and we had 10 cm of snow yesterday, It is just right time to share a Christmas card.
I used beautiful Christmas Holly Blessings Stamp Set #841. Image is stamped directly to the pattern paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Mostly it's colored with Promarkers, but the vase is colored with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Indian Gold). I used Mousse as a paint and I applied it with water brush. Berries are covered with Nuvo Jewel Drops (Strawberry Coulis).

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink. It's covered with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. After tapping off the excess powder I used the heat tool to melt it.

This card would have been pretty without flowers too but I wanted to add two poinsettias to it. Flowers are die cut with Creative Expressions Poinsettia dies. I added some gold to them with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Indian Gold). Again I used water brush to apply the Mousse.
After shaping and assembling the flowers, I added blob of  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Pale Gold) in center of them. Crystal Drops are covered with Black Glass Glitter

Indian Gold Mousse was painted through the DIY stencil to make some squares to the pattern paper.
Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Midnight Gold Glitter.

Pattern paper is cut in pieces and popped up with foam tape to let the sentiment layer peek out from underneath.
Few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Pale Gold) and some pieces of Black Glass Glitter was adhered to the card as well.

The next stop on our blog hop is very talented Belinda. Have fun!

Today I want to share one fun and messy card. I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Flowers Silhouette Stamp set #824.
I started with background for focal image. For that I took piece of watercolor cardstock, made it wet and sprinkled Color Burst (Ultramarine Blue) powder on top. I played with water and powder until I was happy with the look. After everything was dry, I spritzed entire blue background with self made shimmer spritz (Cornflower Blue Nuvo Embellishment Mousse diluted with water)

Image is stamped with Versamark ink. I didn't add any ink to three of the flower blooms. Stamped image was covered with Silver Detail Embossing Powder and it was heat embossed. I removed some of the color from the leaves with waterbrush. I used pierced label to die cut the image. White matting layer is cut with scissors. Finishing touches was added with White Gel Pen.
Butterflies was stamped once more, heat embossed with same Embossing Powder, colored with Peony Pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, fussy cut and adhered to the image.

Sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped it with Versmark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. I used small paintbrush to color inside of the letters with Peony Pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. Butterfly is stamped to the leftover blue paper. It is stamped and heat embossed in same way as other butterflies.

I really enjoyed making those flowers. For each flower I needed four die cut shapes made with Creative Expressions dies (Delicate Daisies - Open Petals). One of each size was inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. Rest of three die cut shapes from each size was adhered on top of each other. I placed those thick flower on top of the plastic sheet and added Pink Champagne Nuvo Glitter Drops in center of every petal. Embossed flowers was then glued on top. After Glitter Drops was dried, I removed them carefully and adhered to the card.

For background layer I took a piece of white cardstock and covered it with Peony Pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. This is dry embossed between Sizzix embossing folder (Lattice). Edges of this layer was inked with Cornflower Blue Mousse.
To finish off my card I added Pink Champagne Nuvo Glitter Drops in center of each flower.

Especially for You

I like to combine digital stamps and rubber stamps on one card. On this card I used new Sparkle N Sprinkle Blue Pansies Digi Bundle and Teacup Pansies Rubber Set.

The digi bundle comes with outline and pre-colored images and it also includes pattern papers. I used pre-colored image to make my card. Image is printed out four times. Three of them ware fussy cut and adhered to the base image with foam tape. Tea cup is inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I also added tiny dots to the cup with Midnight Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Sentiment is from Teacup Pansies rubber set. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Satin Velvet Embossing Powder. I cut the banner with scissors and added glue with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the edges. After glue was dried tacky I added Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes on top.

Edges of the pattern paper are covered with Medium Nuvo Glue Pen and Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. A bit of same flakes was also adhered to the pattern paper with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen.

I used two pattern papers from Blue Pansies Digi Bundle: yellow and blue. They are placed on top of each other. I erased some parts of the blue paper to reveal yellow paper underneath. On those papers have very cool splatter pattern. To add even more splatters I used stamp from Donna's Stylin Sayings set. Pattern is stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with Robin's Egg Embossing Powder.

I wanted to keep this card simple. Only embellishment I added is a piece of lace.

Materials used:

Irish Blessings Shadow Box

Irish Blessings #834 is really gorgeous Stamp set which Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed in March. I wanted to make something different with it but I didn't had any good ideas. Then I found a half finished box and bunch of clay butterflies in my drawer and voila... Shadowbox it is...

Images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and they are colored with Promarkers. I cut them out and left a narrow white border all around. Except for the two clovers. For them I left a bit of paper underneath. Thanks to them I was able to adhere the clovers further from the inside of the box. Horseshoes are adhered with the foam tape. Part of the bow is covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Waterfall glitter. Some clovers was stamped to the back panel with Mowed Lawn Distress ink.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and I used Copper Dreams embossing powder to heat emboss it.

Yellow Butterflies are colored with yellow watercolor and I rubbed some Cornflower Blue Nuvo Embellishment Mousse to raised parts. Their bodies are colored with brown marker.

To color the blue butterfly I diluted same Cornflower Blue Mousse and used it as watercolor. This butterfly had some yellow glitter adhered to the clay but I was too lazy to make a new one so I used what I had, and I like it!

I used regular white smooth cardstock to make those colorful panels. I spritzed the cardstock with water and sprinkled Nuance Golden Yellow Watercolor Powder on top. Because I didn't use watercolor cardstock the powder didn't smooth out evenly. I like this speckled effect for this project. Edges was inked with Scattered Straw and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Bronze Splendor Glitter was adhered to the frame.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Irish Blessings #834;
GlittersWaterfall (G1012), Bronze Splendor (G1012);
